Sharen Meyers - President

Sharen Meyers is founder and president of Synergy Animal Hospice and has been working in human hospice for over eight years, two of which were with Visiting Nurse Association in Illinois and the past six years with Partners In Care in Bend, Oregon. Besides her experience in hospice care, Sharen has worked as an animal assisted therapist with the Cancer Treatment Center in Bend and Health and Human Services in Illinois. Sharen enjoys reading, learning, and hiking with her husband Larry and golden retriever, Taylor.

April Galash - Treasurer

April was invited to join the board of Synergy in June of 2008 and has been a dedicated member ever since. Having experienced a traumatic loss of a beloved pet, she was eager to volunteer her time and energy to help both humans and their pets during such a difficult time in their lives. April works as an office manager /bookkeeper for a local engineering firm and spends her free time enjoying her family and her 4 dogs. She loves to ski, walk, sew, read and camp.

Bev Dunderdale - Secretary

Bev came to Synergy as a result of her golden retriever, Abby's declining health. Being a volunteer for human hospice helped her to know the value of palliative care and figured that was exactly what Abby needed. Attending the Pet Loss meetings provided by Synergy, was so valuable that she has decided to become more involved with the organization. Bev has extensive business experience and sits on other nonprofit boards. Her hobbies include geocaching, golf, skiing, hiking, and anything that involves her dogs.
